The 2023 Giller Prize, Canada’s most prestigious and richest literary award, announced that author Sarah Bernstein, for her novel, the “Study for Obedience,” was the winning writer. The glamorous glitzy author audience at the ritzy Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto included Canada’s top writer Margaret Atwood. Iconic Canadian comedian and author Rick Mercer was the MC of the eventful gala, which was interrupted twice by protestors.
