The World That’s Possible, A War Child Gala at Four Seasons Hotel on December 6, 2023

Founded by CEO Dr. Samantha Nutt in 1999, War Child directs almost 100% of its received donations of close to $15 million to assist children affected by war. This year, the famous Canadian music group, The Tragically Hip, in addition to CIBC’s Victor G. Dodig, and Mattamy Homes’ Peter Gilgan, were award recipients for their contributions. Last year, iconic Canadian singer Chantal Kreviazuk was an award recipient. The wonderful sold-out gala took place at the top luxury Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. This year’s gala, “The World That’s Possible,” raised a record $1.265 million, in addition to the prior total of $15 million, to demonstrate the amazing success of War Child and its Changemakers, and to further War Child’s vision of a more just and peaceful world is possible.
